Best Buy Letter

DSC_0146

I have blogged before about the DTV conversion (remember- not HDTV). I stated that we used the government coupon towards the converter box. We were early in signing up, and early for the converter box purchase as the coupon expired by the end of June. According to Best Buy, it appears they overcharged us on the sales tax. In fact, the overcharged not only occurred in Texas, but Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

In these states the sales tax is to be applied to the after coupon price and not before. Therefore, we received a handsome $3.30 check. We gladly accepted. I can purchase 10 candy bars at the HEB (when they are on sale for 33 cents) for that amount.

Keep an eye out for this even if you do not purchase your converter box at Best Buy.
